# Blinq contacts

> Capture, enrich, and organize every connection in Blinq with personal and company contacts, AI enrichment, notes, tags, and exports.

## Overview

Every connection lands in Contacts. Blinq captures the details, enriches them, and keeps them ready to act on.

Contacts can be created several ways:

* **Card exchange:** when a Blinq card is shared, Blinq creates the contact automatically.
* **Scanning:** scan a physical business card, event badge, or QR code using the universal scanner.
* **Shared back:** a new connection fills in their own details through your card link.
* **Manual entry:** add a contact directly from the app or dashboard.

All contacts are personal by default. Contacts captured through a team card are automatically shared with the team and appear as company contacts.

## Company contacts

<Info>
  Contacts created through a team card are automatically shared with your team. No manual sharing required.
</Info>

The **All company contacts** view is a directory of every contact visible to your team workspace. It includes:

* Contacts captured through any team member's Blinq card.
* Personal contacts shared with the workspace.

Blinq integrations export contacts that are visible in **All company contacts**.

## Personal contacts

The **My contacts** view shows all contacts owned by an individual user: ones captured, created manually, or added manually. Contacts shared with the workspace also remain visible here.

Personal contacts aren't visible to your team, and aren't exported to integrations. You can share a personal contact with your team at any time.

### Sharing a personal contact with your team

  </Step>
</Steps>

After sharing, the contact appears in **All company contacts** and becomes eligible for integration exports.

## AI contact enrichment

When a new contact lands in Blinq, AI enrichment fills in missing details, allowing for richer context with your connections.

Enrichment requires at least one of: a work email, a full name and company, or a LinkedIn URL. If those details aren't present, Blinq prompts for the missing information before running enrichment.<br /><br />**<u>Blinq checks 25+ live data partners in order of reliability</u>**, with AI search running when the sources don't return a result. Every email is verified before it's saved to the contact. If a detail can't be verified, the field is left blank. All enriched fields remain editable.<br /><br />Enriched details can include: job title, company, LinkedIn profile, profile photo, phone numbers, and verified emails (available on paid plans).

### Disabling AI enrichment

Owners and Admins can turn off AI contact enrichment for the entire workspace:

  </Step>
</Steps>

## Contact notes

Notes can be added to any contact from the app or dashboard. Notes sit on the individual contact record and stay visible whenever that contact is opened. When a CRM integration is active, notes export directly to the connected platform.

## Contact tags

<Info>
  Read more about tagging here. [View article →](/features/tags)
</Info>

Tags make it easy to segment, filter, and report on contacts by source or activity.

You can tag contacts at the point of capture or post-capture by editing the contact record.

## Exporting contacts

### Sync & Export status

The **Sync & Export** column shows the status and last export timestamp for each enabled integration. Use it to see which contacts have synced and which are still pending.

## Contact preservation

When a team member is removed from the workspace, Blinq keeps the contacts they captured in **All company contacts**. Deleting a team card or member doesn't delete the contacts associated.
