# Connecting Google Workspace to Blinq

> Authorise Blinq, choose the domains you want covered, and install the Blinq app from Google Marketplace.

Connecting takes two parts: authorising Blinq from your Blinq dashboard, and installing the Blinq app in Google Workspace. Both need Google Workspace Super Admin access.

<Info>
  **Not the Super Admin?** Start the connection anyway. When Blinq asks whether you're the Google Workspace admin, select **No, I'm not** and you'll get a link to send to whoever is. Once they tell you it's done, carry on at [Email signatures](/integrations/google-workspace/email-signatures).
</Info>

## Where to start

You can start from either place in the Blinq [dashboard](https://dash.blinq.me) — both open the same setup:

* **Email Signatures**, then **Sync to Google** at the top of the page.
* **Settings → Integrations**, then **Connect** under **Google** in the Email signatures section.

## Authorise Blinq

<Steps>
  <Step title="Start the connection">
    Select **Sync to Google** or **Connect**, depending on where you started. A panel explains what the sync does — select **Setup sync** to continue.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm you're the administrator">
    When asked **Are you the Google Workspace Admin?**, select **Yes, I'm the super admin**. A new tab opens asking you to sign in to Google Workspace — choose your Super Admin account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Approve the permissions Blinq needs">
    Review and approve the permissions on the Google consent screen.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select your domains">
    Check every domain whose signatures you want synced, then select **Continue**. Only Blinq accounts on the domains you select here will sync.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    A confirmation appears. Select **Next**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  **Add every domain you use now.** A domain that comes into use after you connect isn't picked up on its own, and signatures on it fail with an error reading **Domain not in Google Workspace** — even when the domain is perfectly fine in Google. Adding one later needs Blinq support, so it's much easier to select them all up front.
</Warning>

## Install the app in Google Workspace

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Google Marketplace">
    Select **Install App**. Google Marketplace opens in a new tab.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check which Google account you're using">
    Hover over the profile icon in the top right and confirm you're signed in as your Google administrator account. Installing under a personal or secondary profile is a common mistake and the install won't apply to your organisation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Install for your whole organisation">
    Follow Google's prompts and choose to install for the whole organisation. Selecting specific groups or organisational units is the most frequent cause of signatures failing later.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Return to Blinq">
    Go back to the Blinq tab. You'll see the app installing. You can close the setup window at any point — Google emails you when the install is complete.
  </Step>

  <Check>
    **Google Workspace is connected.** Next, [turn on the sync](/integrations/google-workspace/email-signatures).
  </Check>
</Steps>

<Info>
  Installation is usually quick, but Google allows up to 24 hours. If it's still installing after that, email [support@blinq.me](mailto:support@blinq.me) rather than waiting longer — support can check whether the install actually completed and finish it from their side.
