Learn everything you need to connect and start using Blinq MCP: what it is, what your AI tool can do once it’s connected, how permissions and privacy work, and how to set it up. Once connected, you can ask Claude or ChatGPT about your Blinq contacts, conversations, and notes - so you can open doors, build relationships, and create new opportunities from the people you’ve met.

What is Blinq MCP?

Blinq MCP is a connection between your Blinq account and AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT. It gives your AI tool access to your Blinq contacts and meeting notes, so you can ask about them in plain language and get answers from your own data.

Why use Blinq MCP?

  • Your network, in the tool you already work in: Your contacts and notes are already where you’re working, whether that’s Claude or ChatGPT. No exporting a CSV, or copy-pasting conversation notes, or alt-tabbing back to Blinq to check something.
  • Workspace-wide answers, sans dashboard: Admins can pull the whole team’s captures and conversations and stay close to their performance, spotting where coverage is thin and where an opportunity is stacking up.
  • Power your workflows with real context: Go beyond getting answers. Your Blinq network gives your AI tools the context they need to build, act, and carry insights into any workflows you’re running, without starting from scratch.

How do permissions and privacy work?

Every Blinq MCP tool is read-only, so connecting it is low-risk. You can switch individual tools on or off from your AI tool’s settings, and disconnect Blinq at any time. You only ever see data you already have access to in Blinq, because the connection uses your own login. Admin visibility covers business contacts in the workspace and their saved text notes. Contacts a team member captures into their personal cards stay private to them, along with any text notes or AI Notetaker notes linked to those personal contacts. Admins can see team members’ AI Notetaker notes only when the note is linked to a business contact in a workspace they admin or own, and only if AI note syncing is turned on. This is controlled by a workspace-level toggle in workspace Settings (on by default), which syncs AI notes from team members’ contacts up to the business contact. When you connect Blinq to an AI tool, the contacts and notes it reads are shared with that provider to answer your questions. Meeting transcripts can hold sensitive detail, so it’s good to be deliberate about which tools you connect. See Blinq’s privacy policy for the full picture. Blinq MCP is for reading your data from AI tools. To sync captured contacts into your CRM automatically, use Blinq’s Salesforce and HubSpot integrations, among others.

How do I connect Blinq MCP?

You connect Blinq MCP with OAuth, using your existing Blinq account, so there’s no separate API key to manage. From your AI tool: open its connector settings (in Claude, that’s Settings → Connectors; in ChatGPT, that’s Plugins). Search for Blinq, then sign in and authorize. Other supported tools follow a similar flow. Full step-by-step instructions for each provider are in our Help Center.
