Overview

Team templates give workspace admins a central place to define the layout, branding, and field configuration of digital cards. When an admin creates and publishes a template, team members can use it to build their own cards. Shared content stays consistent across every card in the workspace, while individual fields let each person personalize their details.

Template view

The Templates page lists every template available in the workspace. From here, admins can see and manage the full template library. Each template in the list has four actions available:
  • Edit: opens the template in the editor to update its layout, fields, or branding
  • Duplicate: creates a copy of the template as a starting point for a new one
  • Delete: removes the template from the workspace permanently
  • Create card: generates a new card directly from the template
Each template has a unique invite link. Sharing the link lets people create cards from that template without inviting each team member one by one.

Creating a template

Admins create new templates from the Templates page. Admins can start a template from a blank layout, or from a sample layout that includes fields and features already in place. Sample layouts are fully editable.

Naming and management

Admins name each template when they create it. The name appears in the template list and helps identify which template to use when creating a card. By default, a card inherits its template’s name. Admins can duplicate, edit, or delete templates.

Field types: shared and individual

Cards built from a template can include two types of fields: shared and individual. Shared fields contain the same value on every card created from the template. Admins set shared field content in the template editor, and that content appears on every card using the template. Each team member completes their own individual fields. These fields let team members enter their own contact details or other information specific to them.

Field visibility

Admins can hide or show each field using the eye icon next to it. Hidden fields don’t appear in a team member’s card editor, so team members can’t add them to their card. A master toggle at the top of the field list shows or hides all fields at once.

Layout

The template editor controls how fields are arranged on the card. Admins set the layout when they create the template (sample or blank) and can adjust it at any time from the template editor.

Image types

Templates support three image types. The card layout options depend on how many images the template uses:
  • Profile picture (recommended ratio 1:1)
  • Company logo (recommended ratio 16:9)
  • Cover image (recommended ratio 16:9)

Identity, branding, and customization

Templates include branding controls so every card in the workspace reflects the organization’s visual identity.

Custom font

Admins add custom fonts in Settings → Workspace, or upload them directly from the template editor. Blinq accepts TTF and OTF font files.

Color and theme

The color picker in the template editor sets the color of icons on the card. Admins can choose from preset color options or set a custom color using the color picker or by entering a custom hex value.
