Complete these steps before you connect Marketo in your Blinq dashboard. You’ll finish with three values to paste into Blinq: a Client ID, a Client Secret, and an Identity URL.
Marketo doesn’t offer a sign-in-and-authorize flow. Instead, a Marketo admin creates a set of API credentials in Marketo and enters them into Blinq once.
1

Create a role with API access

  • In Marketo, go to Admin → Users & Roles.
  • Open the Roles tab and create a role with API access permissions.
  • If you already have a role set up for API access, you can reuse it.
2

Create an API-only user

  • Open the Users tab.
  • Create a new API-only user and assign it the role from the previous step.
3

Create a LaunchPoint service

  • Go to Admin → Integration → LaunchPoint.
  • Select New → New Service.
  • Set the service type to Custom and give it a name, for example Blinq.
  • Attach the API-only user you created.
4

Copy the Client ID and Client Secret

Select your new service and click View Details to reveal the Client ID and Client Secret.
5

Copy the Identity URL

Go to Admin → Integration → Web Services and copy the Identity URL shown under the REST API section.
