Configuring Zapier
To start configuring Zapier with Blinq contacts, select New Zap from the Zapier dashboard, or manually navigate to Home → Create → Zaps. This opens the New Zap editor, where you can build a Zap workflow with AI or create each step manually.Creating a trigger
1
Create a Blinq trigger
- Click the Trigger event which is step 1 in a Zap workflow.
- Select Blinq as the trigger. You can find it in the Apps menu, or search for Blinq in the top bar.
2
Select the trigger event
The integration has two options for trigger events:
- New Contact: Triggers when a contact is created.
- Updated Contact: Triggers when a contact is updated.
3
Confirm your account is connected
- If you’ve already connected your account, you can go straight to testing. Click Continue at the bottom of the Trigger configuration panel.
- If you haven’t connected your Blinq account yet, see Connecting Zapier.
4
Test your trigger
- After setup, Zapier prompts you to test your trigger. Click Test Trigger at the bottom of the Trigger configuration panel on the Test screen.
- Select a contact record to test, or search to test a specific record. If you don’t see a record, click the Find new records prompt.
- Once selected, click Continue with selected record at the bottom of the panel.
5
Blinq is now configured within your Zap workflow
- At this point, you’ve connected and authenticated Blinq, selected your trigger, and passed testing.
- Now, you can move on to configuring Actions in your Zap workflow. These actions are where you control what the workflow does once triggered by your Blinq trigger.
- For an example and steps, see our example configuration.
